curvy girl bathing suit?!?
Question by sensitive artist: curvy girl bathing suit?!?
ok, if having to wear a swim suit isnt hard enough, being curvier then most is not making this any easier….sighs….i have a larger chest and the butt to match. so i chose black and monokini. im not ready for old grandmom styles, but still dont want to run around looking like the fat chick in a bikini…
so before i head to the great unknown, what do you guys think? I dont mind being honest but please dont be cruel. sorry its not to sharp, i just used the camera on the laptop…lol…

not gonna lie.
i think it actually looks really good on you (:
i wish i could pull off a monokini!
Right after reading your post i wasnt expecting that kind of bathing suit! Being on the curvy side myself, and always wearing a bikini, i have found the best style to suit my shape, i dont think that this costume does anything for you hun, and i dont think that you would look like the fat chick in a bikini either, i think it emphasises the bits that are cut out therefore making you look wider round the hips i would go for something with a fuller bottom and quite high waist, in black to slim down you hips, then on top i would go for a colour, either block or pattern, with triangle halter neck, if you could get a top with some detail between the breasts then it will draw the eye up to that mid point and you look like you have good boobs!
I personally dont like the suit you’ve chosen, i think its a little hoochy but i understand why uv chosen it, if you dont feel comfortable in a bikini and you dont want a nanan suit then its a good compromise but i would try a little harder and find a bikini that suits you, and that you feel good, rather than look cheap, in! Hope it helps and that i havent been too blunt.
Good luck honey, and remember your as gorgeous as you feel!
I do not like it. I mean you have a great body (I’m nothing but a stick and would kill for your curves) but that swimsuit does not flatter you! Now these are expensive but you can find them at other places for a better price, they’re just examples.
Anything gathered around your stomach will thin you: http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/onlineProductDisplay.vs?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=CP-221147&page=1&cgname=OSSWMOPSZZZ&rfnbr=158
I found this from the full coverage section of Victoria’s Secret (for women with curves) that you should check out:

Good luck and I hope I helped!
First, you’re NOT a fat chick. I honestly think you’d look better in a bikini. See the way you kind of fall out of the sides on that? Visually, that dark stripe down the middle just makes everything sticking out around it look bigger. Curvy girls often make the mistake of thinking that extra fabric makes things look smaller, but it really doesn’t. The widest part of the suit cust right across the worst possible place for your shape, making your belly look bigger. You know how high waist “mom jeans” make belly’s look bigger? It’s the same with monokinis. They are like “mom jeans” for the beach.
I don’t think that a monokini suits your body. It really accentuates your love handles. But you have a great body and the fault is in the monokini. The only good thing about that suit is that it shows off your boobs. A bikini would look much better on you. Show off your whole tummy and you’ll look slimmer. Stay away from tankinis, because they will also accentuate your love handles. A bikini will draw attention to your boobs while also showing off the beautiful curves of your stomach. Though you are on the heavy side for a bikini, you will still look great in one.
this style will make you look slimmer because of the bold stripes

this one is classy

but I do like the one that you choose, too. You’re good, look nice, and well thought out. However, I am certain that I saw that monokini at Wal-mart in blue and black.. that is not ok.
